COMMISSION: Porsche 918 Spyder Concept ver.

EDIT 10/20: DONE BABY I'm super happy with how it came out, I think it's my best car piece yet, and I'm certain my commissioner will be happy Zoom in and take a look at the headlights and rims, please - I killed myself on them Total time 17-18 hours (my fastest yet).

EDIT 10/13: Reached approx. halfway point, both rims and interior are now finished, and I'm still pretty happy with it. The front rim isn't perfect but considering how crazy difficult it was, I'm still pleased with it. I wish I had more energy and time to do more of it, but I am scraping rock bottom energy-wise, and school is pretty hectic, so I'm forced to do it at this snail pace

EDIT 10/1: Reached about 1/3rd through; so far I'm really, really happy, and I think my commissioner will be too. That rim was hard but came out fine (despite my worrying ) and other than that, it hasn't been putting up much of a fight; it's been mostly smooth sailing (knock on wood).

As you may have read in my squealing, excited journal, I got a commission from a neighbor of mine to draw a Porsche 918 Spyder! I was super-excited and despite intermittent illness and a lot of schoolwork I have finished the first stage of work. The rims were really tricky because they're partly transparent, but other than that it's been pretty standard as far as car art goes. So far I'm really happy with it and I think he will be too.

A little background on the 918 Spyder (I'm going to quote Wikipedia's article on the 918 on this one because I'm lazy right now ):

The Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid-engined sports plug-in hybrid designed by Porsche and first shown as a concept at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The Spyder is powered by a 4.6 litre V8 engine, developing 608 horsepower (453 kW), with two electric motors delivering an additional 279 horsepower (208 kW) for a combined output of 887 horsepower (661 kW). It is the second plug-in hybrid car from Porsche, after the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid. The production version was unveiled at the September 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The plug-in hybrid is a limited edition supercar, and Porsche plans to manufacture 918 units as a 2014 model year. Production began on September 18, 2013 (hence the name), with deliveries scheduled to begin in December 2013. The starting price is US$845,000.

Basically, this is the first of the three next-generation gas/electric hypercars, along with the LaFerrari and my personal favorite, the McLaren P1. All three of these cars incorporate F1's KERS electric motor technology to produce insane lap times (the 918 Spyder did a 6:57 on the Nurburgring, which is absolutely ludicrous).
